ROGERS TV Simcoe County Ontario Canada is the first community channel to receive the Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Video News Documentary, In Focus: Through Their Eyes.
In May 2010, over 2400 Canadian students traveled across the Atlantic to mark the 65th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe. The In Focus: Through Their Eyes documentary is told from the 35 Barrie Eastview High School students who took part in the journey. It is the experience seen through their eyes.

 Non-fiction passages and research-based questions sets for Grades 1-6 about Veterans Day. These are personal accounts of war and war history. Lexile levels are included.

On November 11, 1999 Terry Kelly was in a Shoppers Drug Mart store in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. At 10:55 AM an announcement came over the store’s PA asking customers who would still be on the premises at 11:00 AM to give two minutes of silence in respect to the veterans who have sacrificed so much for us.

Here is the story through song that Terry share with us of what he witnessed that day.
