is designed to support teachers, principals, and other education professionals at the elementary and secondary levels in working effectively with English language learners. In it, you will find a rich source of practices and strategies that can be put to immediate use in the school and the classroom. You will also find an in-depth exploration of the English language learner, and an annotated list of references and resources for further reading and study.

ESL and ELD Programs and Services sets out policies and procedures for the development and implementation of programs and supports for English language learners in English language elementary and secondary schools in Ontario, from Kindergarten to Grade 12.

This webcast inspires teachers to think in new ways about their students whose first language is neither English nor French. You will see how to use students' own languages as an asset in the classroom in order to enhance home-school connections and overall literacy development. You will also see teachers and students talking about their experiences, as well as samples of students' work.
